In the mood to find something unique, unconventional and hard-to-find? The Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair, located at 18th St. and Wyoming Ave. on Oct. 1st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is the perfect opportunity to purchase handmade, alternative arts and crafts from independent artists. In its sixth year, the fair has attracted more than 20,000 attendees annually. It is a juried show of more than 140 vendors hosted by the Washington City Paper, D.C.’s alternative newsweekly. The fair strives to promote underground art and connect the vision of the indie craft community. Besides exclusive arts and crafts, fair attendees can meet and greet with City Paper’s editorial staff and enjoy food, prizes and an international break-dance contest. Crafty Bastards has free admission and will go on rain or shine!
