the tribute to the classical arts

The Tribute To The Classical Arts is the only annual awards program in the metropolitan New Orleans area that recognizes accomplishments in classical music, opera and dance. The events bring artists, educators and organizations from these fields together to celebrate the best of the best. The awards program includes a buffet lunch, open bar and live entertainment (from selected nominees) along with regional celebrities presenting more than a dozen awards. Now fifteen years old, the presentations also feature a Patron of the Arts award, and Arts Education Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Foundation for Entertainment Development & Education that distributes grants and gifts to educational projects in music, theatre and dance.


The Tribute To the Classical Arts is usually held in late February at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orelans French Quarter from 11 am - 2 pm.

Top event in the classical artscommunity attended by artists and organizations representing the symphony, opera, dance companies, educational institutions. More than a dozen awards, live performances, refreshments. Performances from nominated categories The Patron of the Arts Award, Arts Education Award and Lifetime Achievement Awards are special honors.
