THE VILLAGE VOICE TO RELOCATE TO DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN

New York, NY – March 4, 2013 — The Village Voice today announced plans to relocate its offices to Maiden Lane in Lower Manhattan, a move from its present location at 36 Cooper Square in Greenwich Village. The move is planned for mid-August.

Voice publisher Josh Fromson said the new space better suits the needs of the publication’s employees, and will offer an open-newsroom feel that wasn’t possible in the labyrinthine Cooper Square building.

“This is the right move at the right time,” said Fromson. “Although we’ll miss being based in the Village, the Voice long ago evolved into a publication that serves New York City as a whole. I’m excited to get settled and continue what we do best.”
